what are everyones thoughts on teleconverters. i am thinking about getting this Nikon TC-20E III SLR Lens Teleconverter - Slr Lens from RGB Photo UK

to pair up with my 70-200 2.8

was thinking for use on birds, motorsport.

I use the Canon 1.4x converter with my 70-200mm L f/4 and it's great - gives me great image quality and focal range without cramping my bag for space. Why not nip to your local shop and test one with your lens - then check the images on your computer at 100% for quality.
