Just to make sure I haven't missed anything... d300s + Sigma 1.4x TC + 150mm prime = 150 * 1.4 * 1.6 = 336mm FF equivalent or 150 * 1.4 = 210? Am I right in thinking I'll lose an f-stop as well?

D300S is 1.5 crop factor but otherwise you're right. So actually FF equivalent will be 315mm. You'll lose 1 stop, yep. I'm guessing this is a Sigma 150mm 2.8 macro lens? So you'll be down to max aperture of F4.
 
Close enough! Yep, it's that one. Don't know if it's worth getting one, I've got a 70-200 f2.8 and I'm only gonna gain 20 odd mm and lose an for stop. Not sure what will happen with auto focus speed but I think that would be the only benefit if it's quicker than the 70-200.
 
Of course your right! Any experience of the old push pull nikon zooms with the teleconverters?
