Hello All,

I am looking into getting a teleconvertor for my Canon EOS 7D and Canon 70-300mm IS USM ( non L version )
I have had a play with a Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 DG AF 1.4x in a shop today.
The picture was only slightly soft and of course in a shop where there are some dark / low light areas the lens did hunt alot for focusing.

So has any one got one of these and what is your opinion please.

I dont think the 1.4 TC fits the 70-300 USM? Or is that just the Canon one? Did you try it with the 70-300?

EDIT - I think its EFS lenses the Kenko doesn't work with...

I have tried the Kenko 1.4 on my Eos 7D with a sigma 17-70 DC and a canon 70-300 IS USM.
The 70-300 work fine, focus was slower than normal, well actully alot slower. The results were a little soft at full 300mm, then again this lens is slightly soft a 300mm any way.
Strangly enough the 1.4 teleconvertor worked on my sigma 17-70 which supprised me.
As the kenko web site states it does not work below 50mm ! !
