Pretty much yes. If you use a T2 mount you will be using it prime focus, and the telescope becomes the lens. You can use a camera with an adaptor to fit over a scope's eyepiece, know as eyepiece projection photography but results are poor compared to prime focus.
Other issues come into play though. Shooting anything other than the moon will mean long exposures, so you need an equatorial mount that tracks the earth's rotation (sidereal motion.. pronounces Sy-Dear-eal). These are more costly and even they only afford a 1 to 2 minute exposure before movement in the field of view ruins things. For perfect astro photography you need a guided motorised mount that uses a smaller telescope as a guide scope. This locks onto a star, or other object in the field of view and tracks it with a computer that controls the motors. In short.. if you want moon shots, then yes, any scope mounted to your camera will give great results every time. If you want to shoot deep sky objects, then you really need to think again, as it quickly get;s expensive. Done properly you are into an investment of a few thousand.

Then a scope and a T2 mount will be fine. Just remember the moon is lit by the sun, so you can get away with 250th @ f11 ish.. no no motorised mount required. Without it though you'll be amazed how quickly the moon travels across the frame.
I have a Skywatcher 150P 6" reflector, on a motorised, unguided equatorial mount, and I can only manage 2 minutes without field drift, even when perfectly polar aligned, so the limit you can expect on a budget of only a few hundred quid is something like this..

That's about as good as it gets with an unguided mount.
