Does anyone know of any telescopes that you can mount a camera onto? I would love to be able to find one.
Thanks
Gavin

Most telescopes will allow you to mount a camera, are you thinking about an Astro scope or a birding (spotter) type?

Anything, but the faster (f/-wise) you get the harder it gets to focus. And the 400D has a chip *way* bigger than just about any telescope (that will not send you screaming into a dark pit of despair moneywise) can generate a flat field for. Be prepared to crop significantly or spend out on field flatteners.

Gavin, what is it you're looking to achieve ?

You can mate pretty much any telescope to an SLR, but there are several different designs that are optimised for certain jobs. For instance, the scope Stuart has suggested is great for the Moon and Planets (although you really don't want to be using an SLR for the planets) but not so good on Deep Sky.

However, if you're wanting to do Deep Sky, the scope is the wrong part of the kit to be looking at first off.

Also be aware that the design of many reflectors (Newtonians) don't have sufficient focussing travel to allow an attached DSLR to bring an image in to focus.
