Yes
looking quite hard at this as compact travel camera, anyone got one.

Several if you look through the Olympus micro four thirds thread here in Equipment. Most owners seem to like them very much.

I have the mark one and love it, recently come over from canon 5d and 40d.

I looked at the mark2 but cant see what it offers over the mark one other than cost and 5 axis IS rather than 3, and there is now 3 dials on the right as they moved the mode dial from the left for some reason?

I don't think that many people actually own the mk2 as the first version was so good anyway. All the recent Olympus cameras have basically the same sensor so there is less encouragement to upgrade each generation.

I loved my EM10 before it died in a long fall on to stone.

I started with the EM10 as my travel camera and ended up selling all my Nikon FF kit (as I'm sure people are bored of hearing), it's a slippery slope :D

Its interesting that you say that, I also used to be a big (as in big kit) digital shooter until I just got fed up carrying it about so sold it and wandered off the trail a bit. Nowadays I mainly enjoy a bit of old film shooting and the Olympus just drifted into my field of vision so like a classic film SLR.

Is the electronic viewfinder the same on the new and old model.

I meant on my setup, ie im quite happy with the body. as for the evf, if you do a side by side of the mark one and two on dpreview and read up on the mark 2 they say the evf is better on the 2. Personally I see nothing wrong with the mark 1 evf and again wouldn't sway me to upgrade.

Think the new one has a better VF.

The nice thing about the EM10 is that it as just the right level of control where you can do pretty much everything you'd want easily enough without there being too much to get in the way of the simple shooting experience, the camera just seems to disappear.
