Yes
Do you have something that's tempremental?

I was cleaning my stuff last night (amazing how grubby behind the movable LCD screen gets!) and decided to test some bits as I went along, as you do.

Now once again, as usual, my radio trigger was being a pain in the ass (not the one from you guys, a cheapie from ebay that I got about a year ago) not turning on, turning on but not accepting signal yet...."that was closer to 6 seconds not 5, that you held my button down so, computer says no" etc.

So I was wondering, what have you bought that you thought you'd use often and it turned out to be a right pain in the ass to get to work?

wasn't like that back in the film days i have a camera that looses the CF card once in a while (fix: turn camera off, remove card, replace card, turn camera on etc.)

Loads of stuff. I think my house was built on top of an ancient cemetery or something. Things are always going wrong, dying or DOA. I keep an Excel sheet of all my major purchases to help me keep track of suppliers, warranty dates etc. I mark in red the items I've had to return or have died prematurely. It's an eye opener.

Not many years ago I bought a mirror for the hall. Not a lot can go wrong with a mirror, you would think. Then one day a few weeks later I noticed a small pile of dust on the skirting board below. The mirror frame was riddled with woodworm. I couldn't even return it as the supplier was no longer around.
