Testing Canon 400mm f/5.6 l usm

As above I will be using this lens for the first time at the world superbike championship at silverstone. Any hints or tips as to av or tv? Ive heard mf on a corner is another good technique for capturing good shots.

Any advice welcome.

All three have their place, but most people would use shutter priority and autofocus, especially when using an unfamiliar lens.

Start off with tv. Iam using one at Silverstone too.

A slowish shutter speed in Tv, AF and panning should give some good results too!

Used it today at Silverstone. I used a 1.3crop body, it is on the edge of too short
