Ahhh...lovely...Someone
else missing the point entirely...
I never said
I could do
better - but I could do it
just as well...
that's the point - and I'm willing to bet that most pro portrait togs here could do the same - and more than a few enthusiasts as well...
Better? I know
other photographers who might have made a better job - so do you...be honest about it.
The lighting in the formal shot is very straightforward and using the correct shutter speed and aperture will give the right amount of seperation from the background and balance the ambient light - this is basic stuff and any jobbing portrait tog should be capable of posing a shot like this without too much difficulty.
The informal shot is pure trademark Testino - but
nothing he's not done before. For him this is a 'safe' shot - well inside his comfort zone and nothing especially challenging either.
The pressure of photographing Royalty?
What pressure - they're Pros as well...they'll sit for something like this as long as it takes to get the shots needed.
What? You think he was in there on his own? You think he didn't go in with a PA and two assistants to make sure he didn't screw-up his camera settings? Plus someone from the Press Office and a couple of gofors to make the brews...
Yeah, right...
