Hi, Hope someone can help on a workaround. I have a Nikon D700 and camera control 2. When tethered to a laptop no image is recorded on the CF card.
Is there a workaround, or has there been any upgrades to firmware to obtain this?
All help appreciated. :)

Instead of the image being saved to the card its saved to your pc/mac in a preset location. Thats kinda half the reason for tethering in the first place.

Yep- understand that bit thanks.
Does anyone else know- Is there a workaround, or has there been any upgrades to firmware to obtain this?
All help appreciated.

You could use a CF reader and a syncing tool like synctoy to keep the CF card up to date the with the folder.

I keep meaning to try Nikon Camera Control again, I could never get it to stop crashing last time I tried it :(

I don't think there is a workround in the software, it isn't a fault or a cock-up by the developers, its meant to be like that, that's what tethered shooting is for.
If it wrote to the pc and cf card, it would take twice as long between shots writing to two different places.
You make it sound like its a feature that was accidentally omitted from the software, when there is no point to it.
