HI Guys and Gals,

Just wondered if any of you had any experience of working tethered with a tablet/ipad etc?

If so, what software works well, how long a connecting lead do you use??

Many thanks

Rob

Triggertrap looks good if you're signed up to the dark side and use an iPad, but with any luck I'll be playing with DSLR controller by this time Tuesday.

I tested dslr remote on a galaxy note 10.1 the other day, it was rubbish! Way too slow, i am going to have a another fettle tomorrow see if its a setting thing.

Yeah there are loads. use a host cable if you want to speed things up. DSLR controller looks the best for canon users.

What length of lead works well? Would be good to see an image of someone's set up in action!!

Does anyone know of anything similar for a Nikon?

I have a solution, but Its not similar, as it is a much better system great alternative for Nikon.....

ok, now had a bit more time to have a fettle, after a bit of resetting, it all looks good, the app runs all the major functions of the camera as required, on the whole its very good.

with a long usb extension, this would work treat as a remote camera in a church for example, set up the camera say behind the vicar and shoot stuff you would normally never get chance to.......... including video.

I use the DSLR controller app with my 5DMKIII and a Google Nexus 7... Works a treat! :)
