normally like £10 off isn't it?
if you have shopped at panamoz before they may add an extra 0 to that discount.
Not always, depends on what you buy and how strong the £ is at the time.

Have you pre-ordered yours?
Suppose, to be honest I have always used battery grips with my bodies, but its good to be able to remove the grip and go solo for a lighter setup..... ergonomics

Yes and for those lovely expensive MK lenses.Within reason the sensor size shouldn’t determine the size and design of a camera. Yes with a smaller sensor you can go smaller, but I’m sure this will handle mid to larger glass better than an em10 does.
Looks like it’s designed for the working photographer/videographer.

Fuji is really going from strength to strength..... great work.

Anyone here using the Samyang 35mm 1.4 on E mount? I had one and sent it back due to a defect.
I'm thinking of buying another one and just seen they updated the firmware v02 that improved AF in low light. Has anyone got one that has this firmware on it?
Don't think you can update the lens via the camera body?
Id ideally like to buy one that's relatively new manufacture wise and hopefully get the v02 firmware. You’ll need to get the Samyang Lens station dock for the download.

Not sure what to do. As much as I like the 55 1.8 optically it's amazing it's abit meh in terms of focal length
Why did they factory reset it? They diddnt in mine and just replaced the screws on the flash mountThe Sony A9 beast is back in my hands, Sony have given it a full checkup too.
The repair was a lot more than just a new screw it seems. (See letter)
Unfortunately it was reset to factory defaults

Nope the af is still the sameGetting some other input on the A9 AF in mechanical mode, yes the EVF 'lags' or 'stutters' but it does not affect the AF performance which is good.
There is already a mirrorless d850. It's called the a7r3 heheA mirrorless d850. Job done.
I don’t think the camera will be the issue. It’ll be playing catch up on the new glass mount
I'm surprised at 6d2 being more popular than the 5d4!Thoms been slating Nikon for a while yet they were America's top ilc manufacturer over the busiest period of 2017.
and
" the major Japanese store Map Camera just published their top selling cameras for January 2018:
The Nikon D850 was also their top selling camera for 2017 followed by the Sony a7r3.
- Nikon D850
- Sony α7R III
- Panasonic LUMIX G9 PRO
- Fujifilm X100F
- Canon EOS 6D Mark II
- Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
- Olympus Tough TG-5
- Olympus PEN E-PL 8
- Fujifilm X-T2
- Fujifilm X-T20
... and The D850 continues to be out of stock in the US... obviously not selling well there.
No I'll keep it. The wife literally only uses that focal length. I'm not too keen on it though as amazing as it is opticallySelling the 55?
Are they selling those in the UK yet? You’ll need to get the Samyang Lens station dock for the download.

You can't update the Samyang lens on the body? Maybe I'm misreading thatHave no idea. Just the info off the samyang site. A7rii and a9 only full frame cameras the firmware will update on
Didn’t your come back with the checklist and warranty work sheet? Why did they factory reset it? They diddnt in mine and just replaced the screws on the flash mount

Yea i went to fixation who are authorised repair centre in London and no checklist. Just fixed the hot shoe mount and they tested itDidn’t your come back with the checklist and warranty work sheet?
They also replaced the hot-shoe PCB on mine
It was probably factory reset when they did the testing as usually they mount the body on a automated testing rig which talks to the body.
Did your go to Sony or one of their authorised dealerships for repair?
But you stated that you need a a7r2 and a9 to do the update? How to update:
1) Download the firmware on your computer
2) Download the Samyang Lens Manager software on your computer
3) Connect Samyang Lens Station to your computer with the lens attached
4) Firmware will be automatically updated
But you stated that you need a a7r2 and a9 to do the update?
That's where we miss understood you. So it won't work on the a7r3?No I didn’t. The updated firmware will only work on those cameras and the a6xxx line
Ahh mine wen't directly to Sony and was worked on by a Alpha Jedi EngineerYea i went to fixation who are authorised repair centre in London and no checklist. Just fixed the hot shoe mount and they tested it

No camera manufacturer is going to provide support in its cameras for third-party lenses. That's why all the third-party lens manufacturers (Sigma, Tamron, now Samyang) are coming out with these docking stations to allow lens firmware to be upgraded. You can't update the Samyang lens on the body?

Out of interest, What’s the process for updating the Fuji glass?
Put firmware on SD Card for lens or body or both. Card in camera. Switch camera on while holding back button, choose which to update.

Which places sell em?Yes they are for sale. I have had one for about a month now. A word of caution though. Should you try to update the Firmware using a Mac the Samyang software lens station software doesn't seem to work. Fortunately I have a second laptop running Windows and it worked just fine.
