£550-ishSo how much would a mint A7ii go for do you think as I'm tempted by the A7Rii already
2000 clicks and looks new.
Also has 11 months warranty on it which I'd be happy to help out with should the need arise.

Hmmmmm
2nd question.
With manual focus lenses will I have the quality to show off the 42MP ?
I'm certainly doing ok with 24MP
Really? I'm finding it a doddle on the a7ii compared to the EM5 MK2
Thanks for the info sir.
@TGphoto, would you consider giving me first refusal if / when you decide to sell?
Obviously you will need to create a classified listing first to keep within the rules.
Severnside South by Terence Rees, on Flickr[/URL]The rii is much better in every way, the mk2 is basically an a mk1 with ibis.I.e. would this shot be less or more noisy on the A7Rii?
Just a test in Bewdley, Worcestershire last night.

a7RII has lot better ISO performance than A7II which uses the dog old sensor from A99.
The high ISO performance of A7RII is still on par with latest and greatest from other brands like Z7, S1R and even A7RIV.
So if I'm impressed with the A7ii I'll be blown away with the R2? That's all you had to say.

I have also owned both, Rii is much better
Yep it's better in pretty much every way.So if I'm impressed with the A7ii I'll be blown away with the R2? That's all you had to say.
It's a good bargain indeed. For the price you can't really get a better sensor.Yes, 100%, its a massive upgrade, the initial a7 models were ime a bit meh, the 7rii really impressed, whether its the much better AF or the much better colour and image quality, I'd not realised they were going for so little. Plus adapted sigma and Canon lenses perform very well, not quite native but really good for less demanding stuff where you don't need top class auto focus.
You sound like the type of guy whose good enough to really appreciate the benefits of the R3.
You also sound like the type of guy to sell the R2![]()
Tbh I'm pretty tempted, was considering an apsc update (a6400) but for similar money I might be better off getting his rii. Shame my new pc is killing my camera fund.Yep it's better in pretty much every way.

I'm now thinking of running the A7ii and the R2 together.
Look what this thread has done!!!!!

Give it another day you'll be on A9II and A7RIV![]()

Why do you think we have two kidneys when we can live on one. It's for times like thisIf I had the money I'm sure you're right![]()
A6600 loool that much for an apsc, nope nope nope. A6400 is the sweet spot, especially for some additional AF video.May be, depends on what you are after of course.
Also if you buy the A6600, you can use the same batteries with both you bodies.

Ok let's not get carried away lol.I can honestly say the Sony is the best camera I've ever had so far (and I've had a few)
Don't know what it is but everything seems right about it.
I can see why they're highly regarded.
Ok let's not get carried away lol.
Don't me started on their faults. We'd here a while![]()
Life is too short to charge and carry 10 batteries![]()
The answer is obviously bothDecisions decisions!
£500 buys me an upgrade to the RIII for dual card slots, better evf etc.
or £500 buys me a 35mm that I long for![]()
OK, to quantify, for MY photography they seem best suited for me.
Better?

Sometimes with Z batteries I don't even take a spare (crazy i know! Lol)400 shots per battery, 2 will do. How many do you take in the average outing?
The answer is obviously both![]()
What lenses you got?
@GreenNinja67 yes I will do.
I am really torn. My A7riii arrived from camera jungle and is in excellent condition but am unsure whether to return and keep the A7rii or not.
A7riii definitely has its benefits for me but I’ve spent a fortune in the last week and unsure whether those benefits are worth £500 extra to me or not just before Christmas :banghead:
