The beach - closeness

Some beach pics taken using my 70-300 lens:

All unaltered, just resized (except the top one which has very slight improvements on levels and has been cropped).

anything to help me improve, please say.

I'm really drawn to the first with its cinematic feel. I wonder if it's anything to do with the two black borders. I think the fourth could do with a straighten.

Thanks for your comment zero. And i agree i should probably crop down the waves slightly and twist it to be straight.

I like the first one too and the third is interesting with the limited DOF.
