The beast is on the way

Bought on the forum this week, I have a Mamiya RZ67 arriving on Monday. Comes with a 150mm lens, 2 backs and a Polaroid back (I have a stash of original Polaroid B&W film waiting ).

Of course I'll be purchasing a 50mm and 250mm lens. It's going to be a good summer - just thought I'd share

I also have the following film arriving soon from 7DS:

TBY - since doing quite a bit of photography for my job, digital has been something of a necessity, but I know where my heart is. Doing photography for no particular reason is the best kind

Arrived this morning in all it's hulking glory

Took some test shots of me and my housemates brother, our roast chicken and a wall with the Polaroid back and some 5-year old expired 667 B&W film So far so good. Next to explore the outside world with some proper 120 film...

Don't you just love the RB/RZ? Like picking up a Rotttweiler pup!

It's the biggest and heaviest camera I've ever used, but I love the way it's set up. Takes it up a notch in terms of build quality compared to the Bronica SQ's I was using previously.

Despite it's weight, I'm still going to pack it in my rucksack this weekend and go cycling in the countryside.

Took it out for a walk today, firmly attached to a tripod... gotta love the rotating back.
