Yesterday, Thursday I had the lucky opportunity to get on board the USS Theodore Roosevelt and have a tour. What an experience it was and the crew that took us around where all friendly. I was part of a small group which we where given a brief history lesson on Theodore Roosevelt, we where allowed on the flight deck to take photos and even got a chance to sit in the Commanding Officers chair in the bridge. One thing that struck me was the sheer size of her; from the outside CVN-71 does not look that big, but until you get on board and see the planes - F18's (and others) that you realise that its rather a big stick.....
