The Bittern....more shots added.

Finally got some proper views of the Bittern at Upton Warren...tried last summer and all through the winter (there was 3) but one turned up early last week...these are not good but are life-time treasures.

Yeah I read on Worc Birding that there's been one seen there again. Would be great if they started to reside there year round, wouldn't it? Much more acceptable to be sat in a hide with temps above -5C for a change!

The last one was "good" as he let go with a giant dropping...wouldnt have wanted to be in the reeds under that.
