I teach a life long learners class in both photography basics and photoshop. The class are always complaining on how expensive photography has become.
So my challenge was to produce a photoshoot without spending money. in real terms I would need to spend some on travel, phone calls etc.
So far I have managed to make a beauty dish and triangular soft box thing. all with things from my shed, I am using 2 lamps that are lying in my shed. Some white card, coloured paper and any other thing I feel may come in useful.
I have also managed to get 4 models (time for pics), Hairdresser (for credit), MUA (from Dublin.....3 hour drive to get here) plus I have managed to get all the clothing, props and footwear from local businesses on loan (For credit).
The Location is going to be a private forest, which the owners are supplying for free, they are providing changing/make up areas plus a whole barnful of vintage props.......also they will provide tea, coffee and lunch......all for credit.
Also rang a local ladies magazine and they have agreed to publish the images ( for free, no expensive adverts or editiorial, plus it wont do my reputation, if I have one
, any harm)
Yes, the camera can be expensive ( I am also borrowing a third camera, just to prove a point.LOL) but it is amazing what you can do by asking for a little help in return for credit.
Shoot in in the middle of the week, will post some pics when I get them processed
WISH ME LUCK!!!!
