The Cob - Lyme Regis

I decided to take a gamble this morning and head to Lyme Regis which is about an hour and a half away. The morning was freezing cold and the roads were slippy. I arrived with about 10 minutes to spare and was greeted by this sight! Sometimes and 4:45am starts in the freezing cold are worth it. I;m not massively happy with this, but my photography is improving.

There was some good light this morning before it all headed downhill. I wish I'd been there with you to see that. I love the way the top of the Cobb has picked up the colour, and Portland is so clear. Just such a shame it didn't stay that way for long.

Yep, thats a belter! It is a slight shame the tide wasn't a touch hight to cover the beach and block on the left side, but thats me being very picky!

Nice image.

I think it would benefit with a bit of lens correction. Looks to have a bit of wide angle distortion.

What is it you are not happy with?
It is nice and worth viewing on Flickr too.
For me the Cob should be darker and the contrast should be increased generally.


I think you should have a look at your Flickr permissions as anyone can dowload this 6000 X 4000 pixels
Click on you Icon top right got to setting and look at privacy and permissions
