The Dark Side

[gman]

Just curious, but how did it come about that Nikon was the Dark Side and Canon is...the force? Where did it all start and where's the association come from?

I thought it was because Canon had big white lenses and Noinks were dark ........probably wrong

I think probably that its always the other brand is the dark side depending on which one you have!!!

'Cos Nikon users zoom around in luxury planet-sized spaceships, while Canon users hang around with green midgets and hairy monkey men?

No idea. the impression I've always got was the same as Simon's.

The dark side is the opposite to the brand you use, whatever you own you always see it as being the better.

For me nikon is the dark side, for my brother canon is.

I've always been a Darth Vader fan, so I guess my own Canon is the Dark Side to me.

I'm in the Lens colour camp, differentiate between sports shooters.

I think this has always been the case with rival gear.

I used to own a Triumph Spitfire and MG midgets were always know as the dark side, but that may have been because MG Midget owners didn't read the manual on how to take the roof down!!! Lol
