Having a much needed break - spent the day at Osborne House on the Isle of Wight. Not been here for at least 40 years!

Most impressed how the Nikon D800 handled all the nasties light that get thrown at us. (Hand held, 1/15 f:4.0 iso1000 16mm 16-35 Nikkor)

Apparently, they got a guy from India to carve the mouldings for the plaster. To the right of this photo is a plaster 'peacock' - it took 500 hours to produce the mould alone!

Amazing, the ceiling was the first thing that i noticed too, amazing the time and effort thats been put into buildings like these, nice capture!

Thanks - it is quite captivating isn't it? How do you even think of starting a building project like this?
