Yep got it from Viltrox uk, delivered in 2 days. Love this lens, would say it is nearly as sharp as the 27 1.2. You probably know about the vignette wide open but nothing that can't be corrected. Blows me away how good the images look considering I could never get on with the 56 1.2 Fuji.
 
Ive managed to get hold of a secondhand X100VI and Im really pleased with how it compares to my earlier Fuji cameras.

However, according to the manual the battery in camera cannot be charged via a USB hub but needs the camera plugging into a computer which I have done. However, have I understood it correctly? I have always charged my camera batteries in camera via a USB hub or separate charger.

Feel free to tell me Ive not read the instructions correctly...

Should be fine to plug in to a USB hub or charger as long as they're sufficiently strong enough.

I have charged it many times via different power source, you will know it is charging when there is a green light on.

I know you already have the answer, but for future reference - if a USB cable fits, it's fine to use.
The U stands for universal, and it's a strict standard across all devices. While power draw may be different for some devices, the standard requires them to negotiate that, or default to the minimum 5V 1A supply.

I’ve been trying my hand at some astrophotography tonight. I have an XT-5 with the 16mm 1.4 lens. All is good there and think I got done good photos. Will find out tomorrrow!
What I can’t seem to do is to continuous shooting so the 20s exposures are automatic, one after another. I’m using a cabled remote that slots to ‘hold’. The burst settings seem wrong as on low these are 3-7 frames per sec.
I’d like 20s continuously so I can keep my hands warm!
Any ideas?

You can use the Interval Shooting menu option: set the exposure time, how long between shots and how many to take, and then it will go for as long as you want.

I use one of those cable intervalometer remote controls on the Sony. Generic Amazon brand.
 
I posted in January about not really bonding with the X100F, after using it a bit more and changing the settings so it's in line with my X-T20, I'm finally starting to 'get it' and actually enjoy it...

I've got a landscape day trip to Snowdonia coming up after Easter and I'm seriously considering taking just the X100F, it feels somewhat liberating not having multiple lenses to choose from, weirdly.

I've had my X100f just over a year, and I'm only just really starting to post sooc jpegs :ROFLMAO:

These from this particular morning out and my Saturday street photography images (in my street thread) with more to follow, are all completely unedited aside from maybe some straightening or ratio cropping. Not even an exposure or WB tweak.
 
Different and pleasant part of the city to shoot Lee. I remember a few years ago taking a shot of the bridge during the balloon festival - just as The Matthew was sailing underneath! :)
 
I had a busy weekend of dad activities, both boys had a karate tournament on Saturday, and my eldest had a cycle speedway race on Sunday. At least I got to do a fair amount of photography, which I haven't really done this year.

I've got a few speedway shots where the wheel isn't clipping the frame, but I liked the expression on this one.

Both shots taken on X-H2s/50-14mm f2.8.
 
One thing I noticed with the Viltrox lens is that the Viltrox rear body cap does not fit on Fuji lenses.
Will have to find a spare Fuji one to stick in my bag

Yes, I've found that too - they're too loose, there doesn't seem to be any friction between the cap and the lens.

I found the opposite - The cap from my 27mm is way too tight on my fuji lenses. I normally remove/replace the caps with one hand while the lens is in my bag if I'm switching, but there's no way I can do it with the Viltrox cap.
 
That's odd. Got a couple of lenses out to check and they all fit fine, whichever way around I try them. I definitely have at least one cap that fits very loosely onto at least one of my lenses; without going through all combinations, I'm not actually sure now which one it is! :D
