Nice to see that even in hot weather there’s always an opportunity to put an extra (lab coat) layer on

LolI hate it when my brick photos are soft!![]()
I noticed it with the shot of my garden so I tested it against the wall to make sure it wasn't some anomaly. I only do test shots like that if I see an issue in a 'normal' photo I've got a special sleeveless one for just an occasionNice to see that even in hot weather there’s always an opportunity to put an extra (lab coat) layer on![]()

You've got to admit, those corners aren't great?
When I upgraded my X-T2, a couple of years into ownership, I could only get £400 for it as a private sale (taking an £800 hit from the new price), how times have changed in the Fuji world!!!
You could have bought my X-T3 which I had up in the classifields recently for £500 (but thats gone to MPB now)..........
They do look soft there. Maybe just see the 2.8 aspect as a bonus for when just centre sharpness is enough and then stop it down a little the rest of the time. It's faster than most kit lenses in the first place so I guess you could look at that pragmatically. Does it sharpen up at F/4?I've got a special sleeveless one for just an occasion

I've not checked f4, just f2.8 and f8 as they'd be what I'd use.T

Influencers, would-be influencers and the appeal of a ‘retro’ look. What's the reason behind it all?
What about the Fuji X-T5I've not checked f4, just f2.8 and f8 as they'd be what I'd use.
I'm still not sure I'm going to get a Fuji ILC yet. The main reason for looking is due to 2 bucket list hols next year but not wanting too much weight. The reason for not just taking the X100VI is that it only has one SD slot, and that they're bucket list holidays and I want to be able to get all possible shots, particularly wide shots when I'm going into buildings. I know the chance of an SD failure is very slim but again, as it's a bucket list stuff I don't want to take a chance.
I've weighed up a variety of options such as:-
Sony A1
Sony Zeiss 16-35mm f4
Samyang 45mm f1.8
Total 1417g
Sony A1
Sigma 17mm f4
Sony 35mm f2.8
Sigma 45mm f1.8
Total 1239g
Fuji X-T5
Fuji 10-24mm WR
Fuji 35mm f1.4
Total 1132g
Fuji X-T5
Sigma 10-18mm
Fuji 23mm f2.8 Pancake
Fuji 35mm f1.4.
Total 1067g
I’ve been put off with the corner sharpness of the 16-50mm and ideally I’d like an aperture ring with markings. For the UWA I’d ideally like something more like a 16mm equivalent. I know 16 vs 18mm doesn’t sound a lot but in the UWA range it makes a big difference. What about the Fuji X-T5
Fuji 16-50
Sigma 12mm f1.4
About 1020g I think
