Fair comment, and each to his own.

There's no way to capture the very far left of the bridge from where I was standing, so I decided to include the office (its actually a Students Union I think) rather than end the panorama abruptly.

Here's another of the bridge, slightly more abstract and before the sun had made an appearance.

IMO the contrast between the bridge and the building adds to the image, as does the reflection.
 
Really like both shots. Colours captured in the bridge abstract are stunning.
 
Prefer the second but any pic of a bridge is good in my book ;)

The first makes the bridge look like it was planted on in Photoshop

The colours and composition in the second are superb (y)
 
I like both shots. I wouldn't say one composition is any better than the other one. They're just ... different.
