Hi All,

Thes are a few of my first images taken of the kids with my new nikon d200, i recently upgraded from the old point and shoot an am totally hooked, lots to learn, please feel free to comment with tips and advice to aid my learning curve

Those are just totally my kind of portraits. If I'm off on the wrong track here please don't take it the wrong way but they look to me like you were far more concerned with engaging with the subject than worrying about the photography.

That to me is a very good thing and whilst it might lead to a fair miss rate, also produces some really intimate and enduring images.

I'm just starting to play with my first DSLR and if I ever end up achieving shots like these I'd be a happy puppy! The B&W shots are excellent!

Love the last one, although I find whatever is in the background to the left a little distracting.
