You know the one, the pale plastic cover that goes over the connections on a battery grip (the bit that goes in to the camera)...for a BG-E7 or any grip that takes an LP-E6 battery really

Does anyone know where I can get one from ? I've tried Canon and a couple of the service centres, without luck.

I've a wanted add up here in case someone has one they don't need (any grip that takes an LP-E6 battery) :) http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/canon-battery-grip-cap.545203/

Thanks

Andy

I know the ones you mean. As soon as I saw them I thought "they'll disappear easily" so the ones from both my BG-E7 and BG-E11 live in their boxes in the attic. Gawd knows where you'd get a spare one from though.

I'm sure you don't need both of them :D

Have you tried Canon's spare parts department?

Hi

Yes phoned Canon - not much help at all, have spoken with one of the repair centres as well and nothing listed as spare part...

So the hunt goes on :)

Hi mate

Yes that's the little beauty. :)

Hi, I e-mailed the H Lehmann Ltd spares department about this missing piece and they had this to say:

Hi please note these are out of stock at canon so there could be a delay of approximately 1-3weeks part No cb3-5535-000 we can supply x2 if required for our minimum order cost of £12.00 incl vat and postage to order email/phone 01782 413611 mon-fri 8.30-4.00 with payment details many thanks.

Hope this helps.

I've got grips for a 5D3 and 70D and they never come off my bodies. I'm sure I've got the caps in the boxes still but they are in the loft and I wont be able to get up there for a couple of days as my back is bad at the moment. As soon as I find one I'll let you know and get your address. I'll mark this thread as a watched item so I don't forget and if I can get the mrs to get in the loft over the weekend I'll let you know. I'm 99% sure the little buggers are in the boxes as are the AA battery trays.

Hi

That would be absolutely fantastic, thank you very much. Yes the 5D3 little plastic cover would fit perfectly :)

I'll drop you a PM later re postal address for it, if you do manage to get to it over the weekend, pass my thanks onto your wife :D

Hope your back improves and have a great weekend
