The Loop - advise please...

I have two weeks coming up shortly and would love to take a trip up to the loop, ideally between April 12th - 16th. I recall although maybe wrong that Cad West was the location friendlier to those scared [read terrified] of heights.

The questions I have are:

1) Is anyone from hear going during this period?
2) Is there any point going with a 70-300 IS USM or will this be way to short to get a decent shot (1st time shooting planes so not after a miracle)
3) Could anyone confirm it's Cad West that's the right spot for those scared of heights
4) Any good B&B's close to the location...

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I shoot with 200mm on crop so you'll be ok lens wise

Cad West is the easier of the two, but still a 20 minute hike. Take windproof and water proof clothing!

300mm is fine.

I went last year for my first time up Cad West, bit of a climb but well worth it when you get up there and one comes past

Can't wait to get back this year As has been said, take planty of layers,
