Heading home from a dissapointing kingfisher jaunt yesterday and feeling a bit downbeat about it as they are nesting now and I won't go near the nest, trying instead at likely perching points downriver but that's another story. Photography can be frustrating but every now and then, it reminds me why I do it. I stumbled across this scene yesterday, about 5 minutes from the kingfisher and it put me back in a better mood than I was.
I will have to get up early one morning to get some light but I'll take this for now. Treading carefully and using the 17-40L for the first time.
