Is there parking close to the Pines and Silver Birch Tree at both ends of Buttermere please.
Never been before and want to photograph both.
Where else should I go on my 1 day in the area??
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave, I stayed here last month for a couple of days at dalegarth campsite. You can walk all around the lake easy enough.

hi Paul - but is there off road parking please
Thanks
Dave

Stick in gatesgarth in bing-map. There's a farm and there's a park and pay area opposite. Hope that helps

Great...many thanks
Dave

I'm up in the lakes for two weeks, was at Buttermere last week and there are a few off road pullin places that you can park.

Thanks for the update Julian

Re pull in places in the Lakes.. this may sound obvious but you are advised to get there as early as possible as they tend to fill rather quickly

Dave - The Pay and Display is at one end of the lake, and is a good starting point. I try to avoid paying to park, and try and stick the car to the edge whereever there is a spot, there are a few down the pines end, but no official car park. You can pull in places, but make sure your not in a passing place (y)

Thanks, Jake
