In the cold evening mist, easily walked past and forgotten.
"To see something spectacular and recognize it as a photographic possibility is not making a very big leap. But to see something ordinary, something you'd see every day, and recognize it as a photographic possibility - that is what I am interested in.' Stephen Shore (me too)
For the camera Geeks:-
I bought a very used Sony A7r ii and use it with a 55yr old 55mm Pentax lens
More geeky A7r bits
I assigned C1 to switch between LCD and viewfinder couldn't stand the auto switching
I assigned C2 to the manual focussing;
1/. Press once to see the frame of focus, move around to find the area I want to be sharp.
2/. Press again to see that area full screen and focus
3/. Press again to see even more magnification to focus even more accurately
4/. Press again, or use the shutter press to see the full image
5/. The shutter press can also be used at 2/.
It then becomes very easy to render parts of any image out of focus.
I find it very similar to using a film SLR.
Cheers J
