To document my kids growing up..... What about you...?

Nice photos.....

Kids will do that to you, I should know because my 2 year old's largely responsible for my new found interest / investment into photography....

Nice portraits Alan.

Digital photography fires up my creative side as well as my gearhead and geeky side. Perfect for me.

Man, those are great photos and lovely looking kids :-)

It's no wonder you picked up a camera again!

I got back into it because it is one of the few hobbies where you can enter with any level of experiece and you will always be better than some people - and some people will always be better than you. There is a price tag that suits everyone, photography is as easy or as technical as you want it to be, and it can be really cheap or as expensive as you are prepared to pay for.

The beauty about it as a hobby is that it doesn't matter what anyone else has got to say about anything you produce - as long as you like it that's all that counts.

I like your pics.

Had a background interest before, eg would appreciate a decent pic, but that was it.

Now I have two little girls and take about a thousand a month :)

It's a great hobby (that's all it will be for me) to get into for kids especially....i would also say to document them growing up.

My only regret is how bad some of my first attempts were with my eldest (4 now), but my youngest at 9 months i'm very happy with my ability now, obvious improvement but taken a lot of practice/time, like most things worthwhile.

Get wound up by people looking at my pics a saying 'wow, mind you, you have a good camera'.......arghhh :)

Now you won't believe this :| I got into film in the early eighties, then went to uni and couldn't afford it anymore (sold mY Canon A1 with 5 lenses for books ).

I got back into it because I had, 3 heart attacks, 5 angioplasty with stents, 2 divorces, 2 kids living with me, lost 1 dog, 2 cats and Diego is still with me (my last cat). Photography takes me away from it all for few minutes

I just wish I have more time to do what I wanted to do with photography. it will come.

Beautiful kids and photos enjoy them while you can

I don't think its just photography keeping you going, more like rock solid determination!
But i find projects to be very therapeutic for the mind, weather it takes the mind off things for a bit or its a genuine help i don't know but either way its a good avenue to pursue.
