The Roaches - Peak District

Made an early start this morning and headed over to catch sunrise up on The Roaches. Weather was a bit mixed and I wasn't sure i'd see anything other than a purple hue to everything but as the sun came up I was treated to some colour and mist rolling in. C&C welcome.

Thanks, would've liked to have got some shots that weren't widey's as well but the weather came in!

Thanks chivers, ended up being a fair old walk as well, parked in the wrong place and had to hike across a couple of fields!

Hi Ollie, Nos 3 & 7 are my faves

I was also up that way yesterday (Saturday) for the sunrise. I was on the other side on Ramshaw Rocks. You certainly got the better location as I was mostly surrounded by mist!

Thanks Daran! I can imagine the visibility wasn't great there as the weather rolled in from that way just as we were leaving!

Nice set, hard to pick a winner, I think no 7 is the best of a great set of images.

Where are the roaches? I'd like to pay a visit someday.

Thanks Rich, they're over in the peak district. This particular spot is in Upper Hulme which is just outside of Leek.
