The shark of light pollution attacking the plough

Nice bright stars but also not so nice bright tress. If it was me I would knock back the exposure on the trees in PP as they overpower the image for me.
 
The idea was to show the amount of (local) light pollution, but perhaps you're right, I'll try toning it down.
 
Toned down the trees so that they're now similar to what's seen during the day....does that work better? Or would they maybe be better silhouetted out entirely?
