There's been a complete lack of steam specials 'oop north recently so I was quite looking forward to photographing "Leander" today.

Unfortunately it was a dull grey November day which took all the colour out of the scene and to cap it all the driver shut off a few hundred yards before he got to me, so no exhaust either. :bang:

Can't win 'em all.

Isn't that always the way, I had plenty of smoke and steam from Tangmere.

We cant always get the greatest steam and weather but its still a sharp well composed record shot that shows Leander off well

Bet you were cursing when he cut the engines... sounds rather like my Luck
as Captain Penguin says well composed - but the drab sky and lack of the smoke obviously spoils the party somewhat
