I was wondering if anyone was using the Alienbees Vagabond II Portable Power System to power their lights. Specifically Elinchrom DLites. The Elinchrom portable batteries seem a little over priced and I'm looking into alternatives. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
 
check out the tronix explorer XT as an alternative too :) £300ish inc shipping and customs direct from their site.

Interesting. Scott Kelby is singing its praises on his website. He used it with Elinchrom strobes. Thanks for that link.
 
Compatibility seems good also between the D-Lite-it 4s and the Explorer XT SE. This could be a plan. Apparently I can power two heads off the one XT unit also, as long as both are not running at full power, which I doubt they ever will be for the work I'm doing.
