A D9000 instead maybe?

Rumourville is predicting the D300 replacement to be a D9000 which would would leave the 3 digit models for FF and the 4 digit for aps-c which makes sense. The Japanese magazine also comment its likelihood for 2013 is 35% which makes this thread i bit pointless, sorry for wasting everyone's time!:)

Damn, even though i have 3 FF cameras i was looking forward to a D300S pro spec replacement as i sometimes miss the crop factor, looks like ill have to try and source a good used D300/300S as the D7000 is too much toy like for me.

rumours also say 16MP APS-C sensor, 8-10fps frame rate and a 51-point AF system.

That makes sense. I am sure it will have the Sony sensor which I love but it would be nicer if the 16mp Fuji sensor was used in this kind of a body

If they can produce a pro spec with sealed alloy body and the above spec and improved noise reduction at high ISO (better than the D7000) then ill be all over it like a rash, must also be of the D300 size, the D7000 is too small even with a grip
