wow impressive cakes, exposure is spot on as well.
If you move the cake a bit further away from the b/g it wil blur more and you should lose the line where it joins.

Cake deco, WOW they are nice, well done.
Photography, As above with addition i would use a larger background such as a Black cloth type so one cannot see the joins or finishes of the background which are apparent in 1 & 3.
