Any good?

Any alternatives?

Looking for something that will take a 40d, 400mm 5.6 and a 1.4 converter, rather than lugging the whole camera bag with me when just going out for wildlife.

I have one but despite the PRO statements it will not hold a 60D with battery pack and 120-400 lens with lens hood.

It takes my sons D3100 with 28-300 Nikon but without the lens hood again, the bottompart is not wide enough for longer tele hoods.
 
I use the version 2 for a Nikon 300/4. The tripod foot never seems to fit well, but still like it.
