I'm looking for options to carry a 500 f4 in the field. I know this bag won't hold the lens with a body attached, but will a body fit alongside it somewhere in the bag? I read somewhere that you need an extra case on the outside, surely that can't be right?
Basically a Lens Trekker 600 AW is too big, too bulky. I'd prefer to have a smaller bag, and if that means not having the body attached, so be it. Reattaching it won't add too long to the process of taking it off my shoulders, opening the bag, removing the zeck cap, un-reversing the hood and so on.
Does anyone use a Lowepro Flipside 300, it would seem that a 500f4 fits in with hood reversed, and it looks like there is room for a body as well. And its only 40 quid at the moment....
