As per the thread title really? I popped into Jacobs today and saw the 60 but it looks a little too large for me and if they'd had a 50 I think I would have walked out with it. HAs anyone got a 50, and if so what pros & cons are there?

I have. Sorry I didn't reply earlier but I was out with my Urban Disguise 50!

Pros and cons is a bit tough. It either suits you or it doesn't. I use mine either for carrying a fairly small amount of kit or as an extra bag alongside my rucksack if I am taking everything. So, it tends to be used in 2 different configs:

1. Carrying charger, spare batteries, macro flash, macro lens, netbook as an adjunct to my main kit
2. Carrying a small amount of kit - so today, I was out with 1DsII, 100-400, 200/2.8, 1.4x, 2x, flashgun, drink and snacks

Suits what I want just fine.

I've got the 50. The 60 is useful if you want to carry a laptop as well.

I can get a 5D plus 2 (or 3 lenses if I stack 2 on top of each other. Spare batteries and cards plus other bits and bobs including Grads and holders if I try.

The 5D fits OK but the 1Ds is a bit of a tight fit but will go. I tend to use it as a walk around bag

Well, I assumed that as you'd logged in between my two replies and it was urgent enough to bump after two hours yesterday that you might have wanted to see the response.

Anyway, with that response I'll make sure to avoid your requests for help/information in the future...

The 50 has laptopn section though? Or is it too small for most notebooks?

I don't think I'll be using it with anything larger than a D300 or D70s. I'm planning on using it as a work bag when I'm travelling to meetings which will allow me to carry my laptop and maybe a spare shirt/undies/socks and washbag and have a camera with me at all times.

My main concern is that it doesn;t look as well made as say the LowePro Classified series, particularly in regard to the zips where the Classified has a lip to offer some degree of weather protection. The trouble with the Classifed range is that the ones which will take a laptop are too big.

Well if you're going to assume it would be nice if you got your facts right. I bumped a day later after my post had slipped off the front page and had had no replies. As for logging on, had I posted in those times? Does it not occur to you that people might have forums saved as homepages and therefore any time they, or someone else, start up IE they 'log in'? You can check my stats and you'll see that I'm logged almost all the time, it doesn't mean that I'm active on the site.

I'd rather not have it if it's given in ill grace.
