Thinking about upgrading

Yes
I currently have a 450D and a 150-500 almost permanently attached.
I mostly use my camera at zoos but in this weather I'm having a lot of trouble with light.

I'm not 100% decided on upgrading since I've only had the camera 6 months but I am looking around.

The max ISO on the 450D is 1600 so I'm looking for something much better in low light.
Having had a quick look I've seen the 60D and 650D. I'm also considering a 7D but that's quite a lot more money. Any thoughts?

I'd either buy 2nd hand or from somewhere like Panamoz.

Thanks

The low light capability on the 60d is actually better than the 7d (newer update of the sensor and I've owned both) anyway so you can save a bit of cash there if thats a priority. Don't know about the 650d but i think because of release dates it would be as good and it is a stop faster to boot (12800 iso)

look at a lens with a wider max aperture, possibly a prime, will give you sharper shots, and reduce the need to push the iso.

I do plan on getting a prime (probably an 85mm as I don't really need anything wider) but as I have the 150-500 I won't be getting anything longer.

Thanks for the info Gary, that narrows it down a bit.
