Thinking of a compact

Hey guys I'm thinking of a compact camera as sometimes the SLR is a bit too big. I was looking at the nikon coolpix s9300 as it looks good is nikon and has the gps tagging which i quite like. What do u guys recon?

Canon are better at making compacts than Nikon, I've had a few of both and the Nikons always disappointed.

Would it be ok to hijack this thread, my wife's just told me she wants a compact for birthday!
This is an expensive recommendation! Why are you so set on the model of camera??

how about a CSC camera, ive recently picked up a EPL1 and love it. I bought it s/h and after selling the 14-45mm kit lens, its always got the 14mm pancake on. It cost about 180ish. Small and compact, and you still get the manual controls, if you wish to use them.

Awesome quality images, great control, low aperture, small and compact, built like a tank...read the reviews, they speak for themselves.

Had an EP1 and whilst great its not compact hence me now owning a 5Dmk2 & an S95.
