Thinking of going full frame (5d iii)

Yes
I currently have 7d, canon 10-22, canon 17-55 2.8, 50 mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 70-200 is ii, 1.4 x extender iii. I rarely use the 70-200 and converter and am thinking of sacrificing those and getting. Obviously I would have to swap the 10-22 and 17-55 for compatible glass. What would be good glass options to go for? Do

Also the reason I am thinking of the change is because of the dreamy quality of images I have seen with ff cameras. Am I imagining this or is this really down to the large sensor?

I've just made the same decision, going from my trusty 50D to a 5D mk3, hopefully arriving today or Monday.
I already have the 24-105 which is the 'kit' lens supplied with the camera so I'd suggest that as a good starting point.

Not sure if I'll need to replace my 10-22 yet (24 may be wide enough and I've still got my 50D), but the 16-35 is a possibility.

Lenses will depend on what you shoot.

I mainly shoot portraits. I have owned the 24-105 before but swapped it for the 17-55 which I found more useful on the crop.
Have fun when your new toy arrives!

24-105 is my most used lens on my 50D so I can't see it being any different on the 5D
