Ok, I lied. It is. And it's pretty reflective of things for me at the moment. I'm having a 'feeling sorry for myself' moment.

But other than that, I really like using a beauty box! Thanks for looking!

And as far as crit goes, now that it's posted, I can see my right arm looks a little awkward and 'thick'... bummer.

I like this picture, it's a powerful image and the lighting is beautiful!

As for your arm, I guess it's only because of the lens used, maybe next time use a 50mm. Great stuff!

nice to see you......to see you..niiiiiiccccce :D

:exit:

in all seriousness, saw the tile at the top of the homepage and knew it was yours. Lovely stuff as always

Hope you're OK

Reminds me of Rodin's 'The Thinker' except that you're not a bloke, you've got a comfy armchair, and you've got all your clothes on. :D

I didn't notice the arm as being "thick" etc.

It immediately struck me as rich quality image with great colour. I like the composition and it doesn't look posed. Thumbs up from me.

Don't forget, I'm not made of stone either. ;)

I've looked at this a lot before making my mind up, Beth, but now I have. I don't get the feeling you're trying to convey - it feels too staged to me.

Actually, there isn't anything behind it at all...other than my husband cracking one of his stupid jokes, and I buried my face and called him a tw4t, giggling all the while. I had the camera on a timer. As @Digisatman cleverly pointed out, there is a grin that's hidden. Visually, it looks like a 'sad' image, which reflects a bit of what going on at the moment (typing this from a bed in Derby Royal). Why did I post it? I loved the richness of the colours and thought it made for a striking image if I do say so myself. There was actually nothing staged about it, and it didn't mean a thing. Sometimes you can look and look to try to find meaning, only to discover it was really just a 'blooper'. ;)

What I was actually doing when I took this was this:

(Sorry, can't post the bb code as the internet server here at the hospital has blocked the site for security reason...???!!!) - hope those work, had to type them manually.

Thanks for the feedback Dean. Always appreciated. :)

I misconstrued your original post. :) I think this has legs as a concept though - I like angst and despair.

Hope all is ok, the smirk on your face kinda takes away any despair idea but who doesn't love a Brucey pose! lol

BTW Hospital are blocking the site likely due to the nude section!

There really is alot of porn on Flickr. It's quite disturbing. Someone started following me, never really gave it a thought, the logged on and the second image I saw on my feed was a picture of a mans :whistle: going into a ladies :whistle:

How is this stuff allowed on Flickr???

Isn't that called a French kiss when a man poke his tongue into a women mouth

Love this Bethy, reading your comment to Dean about the richness of the colours, totally agree works well....

And dungarees, i'll back you up on those, i used to live in mine all the time:D

Is there an issue with dungarees people? Or am I missing something??? Lol!

I like the lighting and the way it brings out the coppery tones in your hair , but i'd have liked to see a little bit more fill on your face i think

Obviously you fellas are not hip to the latest fashions straight off the runways of Coalville. I bet you guys are that far behind that you're still wearing your underpants UNDER your trousers...

Leave my dungarees alone. They're fun! :p
