Wife needs a new compact currently has Sony dsc-hx50 bought s/h from here but now has a problem which isn't worth fixing! These are the 2 options I'm looking at.

Sony dsc-hx90v
Panasonic TZ70

Favouring the Sony as she'll no how to use it, + has new flippy screen which Panasonic doesn't! They both have view finder which is dead handy not sure which 1 is better, and they both have 30x zoom which is what she wants! Any views comments or additions would be helpful!
Sony is a bit pricey at moment but they soon come down in price!!

Wife has a TZ60 as her 'handbag' camera. It's not a lot different from the TZ70 and, like the previous TZs, it's excellent,.

I'd get the hx90, don't think there's much between the 2 cameras but the flippy screen would seal it for me.
