An image from an early morning visit to Winkworth Arboretum. First visit in a couple of years and things have changed a bit. Car park gate is closed outside advertised opening times (it used to be open 24/7), and access to the lake side for a view over the boathouse is restricted to a small 1 metre wide spot (as they have allowed reeds to grow up and obscure the view). Even the spot where you can access the lake side is not that great for trying to get a tripod shot.
I have passed this arrow in the water many times, but never managed a photograph I was happy with. This is this year's effort. I bracketed shots thinking I might combine them later, but in the end used the underexposed one as that was the best exposure for the misty trees in the distance. I then lifted the shadows around the arrow.
