This is the finished product of the photo that my Sister requested with the 'modern' white back ground which I'm not a huge fan of! What do you guys think?

How do I tone it down a little in Photoshop/Lightroom or Aperture?

Did it come out of the camera this overexposed? Did you shoot RAW?
 
No, it came out very warm looking. I took it using my Canon 1000D & had it on the automatic portrait set up. I was only playing around & wasn't intending on getting any decent pictures & then my Sister saw the picture & explained she'd like it in B & W with a white background. I done a creative BW high contrast in Lightroom & edited it with the burn tool to make his features slightly darker & took out the background. Nope, it's a JPEG file.

Any recommendations to create the look but better?
