Yes
What about this one chaps,
I would like to attach my tripod through the slot in
a sk-7 flash bracket to my camera, problem is the reach or
lenght of thread on the quick release head of my slik 780dx
is not long enough. It seems the bracket is designed to be
attached to the camera and flash unit and then hand held.
However a tripod at my age is often required,so.............
Any ideas on adaptors, thread extension..greatly received.
Rgds Newbi Steve.

Looking at these pics...

all you need do is screw the bracket to the tripod and the camera onto the bracket. At most you might need an extra one of the thumbwheels to extend the thread, but I'd think it should work as-is

That is great..thankyou very much,
tell me what is the principle behind the extra
thumbwheel?

The one on the left attaches the camera to the bracket, the one on the left is for the thread on the base of a ttl cord, such as the SC-28.

Oh yes,sc-29 in my case.Whilst your there
do you have any opinions on the Lastolite 2408 bracket,
and cheers again for your help.
Steve.

Just dont like the cold shoe connection for the
base of the sc-29,that's why I went for sk-7 bracket
screw connection instead of the hama or kaiser.
I wonder if a screw fixing could be introduced.
warehouse express want £56.99 not bad...
but I don't see how this one could be tripod mounted.
What do you think?
All the stuff I've read talks about it being light stand
mounted(as in pic on w/e site).

Graham I hope you get to read this....
there is a bracket very similar to the lastolite 2408,
that is the Tristar bk-3 vh twin chevron flash bracket,
which is supplied in a carrying case.
Problem is I can only locate it on none uk sites.
They also do a bk-5 version,maybe worth a nose.
Steve.

Looks like either the same product or a clone of it. The only site I could find it on had it priced at 59,99 € , which is roughly £52, so you'd be as well getting the branded version.

Hawks Photo Video £52.95 today..£2.95 PP,
from a very nice person called Karen...
Many thanks again for all your help, the sc-29 and the
sk-7 arrived today and fit together just right..as you predicted.
