Two photos of the famous north end of Tiananmen Square and southern entrance of the Forbidden City. Both shot on film.


Taken on Kodak Tri-X 35mm using a 35mm lens on a Nikon F801


Taken on Fuji Provia 400X, 6x7 medium format (cropped) using a 50mm lens on a Mamiya RB67

Not sure which one I prefer, I like the perspective of the first (b&w) one but the angle of view of the colour one.:shrug:

Oh boy, I'm excited to see some China photos on film; I'm heading there myself in a few months and I'm currently debating what types of film I'll be bringing.

It's close, but I probably prefer the second. It's a shame though that the top bits of the bridge just partially obscure the Chinese characters on the building.
