Tiger moth one minute before it crashed at Sandtoft

This is the Tiger moth that lost power and crash landed at Sandtoft airfield this morning at around 9.30. I took the pic as the moth was taking off, the moth started climbing but then started dropping as it lost power, the airfields siren was set off and the emergency services sped off down the runway. I could not see the crashed moth i just saw it drop out of the sky and all the frantic action after the siren had been sounded. After a while all the vehicles came back up the runway and i over heard a conversation that both the occupants were perfectly fine which was good to hear.

Nice pic, glad all was well with the occupants in the end.

hopefully, the Moth wasn't hurt too badly either.
 
Couldn't stay around long enough to find out Dale.
 
seems to be happening quite a lot at Sandtoft at the mo mate ...nothing to do with the airfield as its a great place just bad luck....nice shot though I take it they were using 23r looking at the shot

they took off half way down the runway
